Hi Manish,

With this information, they have charged service tax illegally, even last year also. As far I know, the maintenance charges for all the flats in our society are < 3000 PM.

Did you had a chance to highlight this with them?

I have gone thru the budget document this session which mentions about the exeptions of resident maintenance service charge has been increased from Rs 3000 to Rs 5000 . Mahagun is even charging for all and I could see most of us have maintenance cost less that Rs 3K(which does not include fixed power charges).
